Our Complete Exterior Paint Process™ produces results rated to last for many years!
- When an exterior paint job is performed poorly, oftentimes paint will begin to peel within the first year.
- Some exterior paint jobs last less than 3 years.
With our in-depth process and additive-upgrades, we deliver lasting results! An exterior paint job can be a large undertaking—our Complete Exterior Paint Process™ is designed for homeowners looking to get long-lasting, quality, results.
There are many factors that determine the lifespan of the paint job. Through many years of experience, specialized knowledge, and quality relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, we’ve developed an in-depth process to ensure our customers get the most out of their investment.
Our 6-Step Complete Exterior Paint Process™:
1. PRESSURE-WASHING
Thorough pressure-washing and surface cleaning using proper pressure based upon surface type.
2. SURFACE RESTORATION & REPAIR
We repair and restore wood, stucco, concrete, and more using the industry’s most innovative and long-lasting restoration products, including Abatron’s WoodEpox®, LiquidWood®, professional strength compounds, and elastomeric coatings.
3. WOOD REPLACEMENT by Certified Carpenters
All of our carpenters must pass a rigorous quality-control test and assessment prior to making any repairs or installations of wood trim or framing. This includes: PVC, wood, and composite mouldings.
4. SCRAPE, SAND, & PRIME
Upon the scheduling of a Comprehensive Estimate, we test previously painted surfaces, to see whether they were previously painted using oil-based paints, enamel, or latex, in order to determine the proper priming technique. All loose and flaking paint is thoroughly scraped and sanded prior to priming and painting.
5. SEALING
“A quality paint job has no cracks!” It is advice we still use in training all of our painters. We properly caulk, seal, and spackle (using a professional strength, exterior-grade compound), prior to painting. When painting windows and doors, we always use a clear siliconized latex so that no white caulk gets onto your bricks or stucco surfaces. We use quality caulks and sealants; proper, flexible, paintable and rated to last for 40-years!
6. PAINTING
We use the highest quality exterior paints on the market, for both a UV and mildew resistant finish! Proper preparation and long-lasting paints ensure that your paint job will stand the test of time.
